Ms. Nouran El Ghandour

Ms. Nouran El Ghandour is our Teacher Professional Development Coordinator and Head of Language and Literacy for the PYP. She is a certified IB teacher from California State University, and brings over 13 years of experience in education, including a decade in applying the IB approach. Having completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Language Art, she is currently embarked on a Master’s Degree in Innovation in Learning and Teaching from the University of South Wales in the United Kingdom.

A former PYP Coordinator, Ms. Nouran has served as an Accreditation Committee Leader and PYP Curriculum Connections Provider, ensuring practitioner articulation and balance between the essential elements of the program: knowledge, concepts, skills, attitudes, and action. She has trained teachers in multiple schools on the IB PYP Practices & Standards and always endeavors to encourage staff members to actively participate in developing their own professional practice, as well as assisting in the Egyptian Ministry of Education’s (MOE) new curriculum Governmental School Improvement Model. Other qualifications include Best practice in the International classroom from Oxford University Press, and Language & Background to Language Learning & Teaching from the University of Cambridge, UK.
